About us

Who are we?

The Unheard Journalism Project brings unheard refugees voices to the forefront. Unheard, the literature and arts magazine we publish semi-annually, focuses on centering and amplifying the creative voice of refugees and developing the work of refugee artists, journalists, writers, poets, artists, and photographers. We believe that refugees are people with rights rather than people with needs, and that no person should be defined by their circumstances. Rather, they should be celebrated for their talents, experiences, and contributions.
